TRIATHLON 113K - Partial closure of the Acadia Peninsula Cycling Route's off-road trail on August 18, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This August 18, a triathlon competition will be held in the municipality of Shippagan. We ask users of the Acadia Peninsula Cycling Route NOT TO USE the following section of the off-road trail.
From the entrance of the bike path at J.D. Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan to Portage Street in Caraquet (see visual below).
Cyclists may use other sections of the bike path not used by the Triathlon 113k.
We also ask motorists to limit their travel in the Haut-Shippagan area and on Pointe-Brûlée Street, as some streets will be partially closed. The Shippagan Campground parking lot will be completely closed to the public during the event.
