In collaboration with the RCMP (Lamèque detachment), we would like to remind you of the main laws to observe:
Driving on Streets : You cannot operate on streets not designated as ATV trails.
Helmet Use : Drivers and passengers must wear a helmet that complies with current standards.
Required Equipment : Your ATV must be properly equipped and in good working order.
Signals and Regulations : All ATVs must display appropriate signals and comply with traffic control devices.
Speed and Direction : ATVs must travel at a maximum speed of 15 km/h, in the same direction as traffic, and in a single file, close to the shoulder.
Permitted Hours : ATVs are permitted to operate daily between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Yield to Other Vehicles : ATVs must yield to other vehicles on municipal roads.
Permits and Registration : You must have a valid permit from a federated ATV club, valid ATV registration, proof of insurance, and a license plate with a valid sticker.
